Amused by connections

I have just discovered that syleth who I have come across (but never met) via ocultado is also on mr_flay's flist.

I also discovered that violet_black who I don't know, but am aware of via cookwitch amongst others is on the flist of feetnotes

I suspect (although do not know) that ocultado and mr_flay would not know each other from Adam (although they would probably get on very well, both being completely lovely). I would also assert the same of cookwitch and feetnotes.

Is is just me who finds this interesting/fascinating, or is it just another small world situation?

Or is this post so confusing that no-one has a clue what I am talking about?

failing_angel and I recently friended each other having gained each other's notice through cropping up in comments of completely disparate groups of people. He knows d_floorlandmine and cookwitch and also a couple of the chaps I game with on a Thursday, and yet he doesn't know the people I know that link those two groups of people. And I don't know any other of his friends.
